BitFlow Announces Support for CVL (Cognex Vision Library) Software Developer's Kit

For Immediate Release

Friday, May 14, 2009 - Worburn, MA - BitFlow is very pleased to announce that it now supports Cognex Corporation's CVL Software Developer's Kit with its Camera Link and Analog camera frame grabbers. For the first time, anyone that develops applications using Cognex's CVL can select any of BitFlow's powerful frame grabbers when building advanced camera based systems. BitFlowframe grabbers support all Area and Line scan Camera Link and machine vision Analog cameras.

The CVL (Cognex Vision Library) Software Developer's Kit lets users develop powerful C++ solutions for advanced machine vision applications. CVL provides the lowest level access to Cognex's advanced vision tools. It's designed for professional programmers who need to define custom tools or perform specialized vision functions such as pixel-level processing and complex image buffering. CVL also includes many advanced tools specifically targeted at the semiconductor and electronics industries. In addition, customers who use application specific packages can utilize CVL to extend their applications.

BitFlow frame grabbers are the fastest and most capable frame grabber in the world, with the highest camera to frame grabber densities in the industry. For example, the Karbon-CL2 is capable of taking in up to 80 bits of data, up to 10 taps, clock rates of up to 85MHz, up to 2 Camera Link cameras, and DMA's the camera data at up to 850 Megabytes per second directly into application memory. The Karbon-CL4 can capture camera data at two times the Karbon-CL2's speed!

BitFlow also manufactures one of the least expensive Camera Link frame grabbers, the Neon-CL, which supports all Base Camera Link and PoCL cameras in one PCI Express bus slot.

Together Cognex software products and the BitFlow frame grabbers are ideal for designing and implementing industrial, factory floor applications such as printed circuit board inspection, flat panel display inspection, wafer inspection, bonding inspection, die placement, solder paste placement, 3D measurement, document processing, lumber processing, food processing, and postal sorting.

These same BitFlow frame grabbers also work with Cognex VisionPro. BitFlow provides Cognex drivers at no cost to their customers.
