BitFlow supports hundreds of cameras - almost every commercial camera on the market today. We also support many non-production custom cameras and other devices that don't even detect light. Our products are designed from the ground up to be flexible and easily modified to custom requirements. If you have a complicated camera, we're up for the challenge.

Qualification
Camera manufacturers are constantly releasing new cameras. At BitFlow we spend a big chunk of our support resources making sure that we have qualified a new camera as soon at it has been released. Camera makers often ship us a camera before they will ship it to their customers, knowing that the customer's life will be that much easier if we qualify it here first.
When we test a camera, we do more than just make sure we see data coming of out of the back of the camera. We general test all of the camera's modes, and when required, we make a camera file for each mode. We always make a oneshot file (a file that waits for a trigger before acquiring and image) and for line scan camera, we make one or more files that work with a hardware encoder (a signal that tells the board when to acquire one line). For cameras that support Region of Interest (ROI) we will make an example ROI file. Generally we tried to exercise the camera and the board in almost every way a customer might.
The List
We maintain a list of qualified cameras in a web accessible database. This database is updated every time we qualify a new camera. If your camera is in this database, then we have cameras for it. Click here to see a complete list of qualified cameras.
My Camera isn't on The List
If your camera isn't on this list, let us know. For simple cameras, we can often build a camera file simply by looking at the specifications. For more complex cameras, we usually need to get the camera in for testing. To facilitate this testing, you can either send us your camera (most qualifications take one or two days) or we can request the same model camera from the manufacturer. Also let us know if you see that your camera is supported by the mode you need is not.
