Vision systems can be based on any of BitFlow's PCI Express Camera Link or Analog frame grabbers. For example, one BitFlow Karbon-CL frame grabber can independently acquire from two Medium, two Full or two "10-tap" area or linescan Camera Link cameras at the same time. BitFlow is the only company that produces such a frame grabber.
nother version of Karbon-CL can acquire from up to four Base Camera Link cameras while taking up only one PCI Express bus slot. All Karbon-CL's are much faster than the total speed of the cameras that can be connected to it. The Karbon-CL transfers data at up to the speed of the x8 PCI Express bus - a measured video data rate at over 1.7 Gigabytes per second.
For those wishing to use multiple analog cameras, an analog multiple camera vision system based on the BitFlow Alta-AN frame grabber family can be created. For example, Alta-AN4 can capture from up to 12 RS170 or monochrome progressive scan cameras, or up to four independent RGB 3-chip cameras.
